Grades Of Membership
Membership of the Institution consists of two Classes
- Corporate Members
- Non Corporate Members
Only Corporate Members have the right to vote,to requisition meetings and to be elected to the Council .Corporate Members shall be divided into

- Subscribers
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP
1. Fellow
- He shall not be less than 40(forty) years of age.
- Possesses minimum of B.Sc. Degree or Equivalent Profession for the last 10(Ten) years and must be Life Member.
2. Member
- He shall not be less than 27 (twenty –seven) years of Age.
- Possesses minimum of B.Sc. OR Equivalent and has three to four years of Practical Experience.
3. Honorary Fellow
Person of distinction whom the institution desires to honour for services rendered thereto or whose association is deemed to be benefit to the Institution.
4. Associate Member
He shall have passed B.Sc. Engineering or equivalent, as a minimum
5. Associate
He shall have satisfactory completed the three (3) years programme of instruction in a technology leading to a Diploma of Associate Engineer or Equivalent.
6. Student Member
He shall be attending a regular course of studies leading to a degree in engineering. He shall be attending a regular course of studies leading to a degree in engineering .He is a student in a technical institution recognized by Institution and must be in final year.
7. Affiliate
Persons, notengineers, but whose interest is connected with the engineering profession through occupation
8. Subscriber
The Council may at its discretion attach to the Institution as a Subscriber any Government Department, PublicBody, Registered Company,Firm,or Individual not eligible to be a Member of any othercaegory.Each Subscriber shall be entitled to attend or (If the Subscriber be other than an individual )to depute representative to attend Annual Convention.
